A look at the latest technology in Nike soccer cleats

Summary: Nike has spent the last two years working on the technology for its latest soccer cleats. Anti-Clog technology, lighter contoured sole plates, and a new 3D upper are just a few of the many new features.

Soccer is one of the few sports where footwear has such a direct effect on performance. Here is a look at some of the new features that Nike brought to its latest cleats:

The latest feature that Nike is adding to its cleats is Anti-Clog technology. Mud clogging the sole plates is a regular problem for players, and the two-year project’s sole focus was to prevent mud from clinging to the sole plate. The initial plan was to repel water, with the expectation that it will be harder for mud to stick. Instead, Nike now uses an adaptive polymer that embraces water, creating a lubricious layer that does not allow mud to stick.

Another feature is to make a lighter plate. A new vacuum forming process creates a hollow plate, making it 40% lighter than the carbon fiber plates. With this reworked plate comes a new stud pattern. With this new pattern, there is enough surface to help braking while acting like a claw for acceleration. The plate has also been contoured to better match the shape of the bottom of the foot.

Lastly, the upper is now a Flyknit with a 3D texture. The upper starts at a thickness of 1mm at the base and 2.5mm at the forefoot. This new design of the upper is meant to create additional friction between the cleat and the ball.

Is Messi The Best Soccer Player Ever?

Article Written by : Soccer Tips 888
‘The great thing about Messi is that he doesn’t really believe he’s Messi’ wrote the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano. ‘And long may it stay that way because that allows him to play with all the joy of a kid just playing in the street.’

The unassuming nature, the ‘head down and on to the next game’ philosophy that has always enabled Lionel Messi to carry his genius so lightly is certainly part of the magic.

But as he sees his face reflected back at him on those five golden balls it must be more difficult than ever to not think about just what he has become – the greatest of all time.

Messi has reigned over football long enough for the game to have changed all around him. The organisation that honours him every January has itself fallen, knees finally buckling under the weight of scandal upon scandal.

Its president Sepp Blatter is disgraced and was absent from the latest long lunch, dull speech and back-slapping extravaganza that he so enjoyed season after season. No-one missed him – it just meant there was more stage for Messi.

Winning the Ballon d’Or for the first time fresh-faced and with the tie not quite pulled up to the collar of his shirt in 2009 was one thing, and then to repeat the feat in black velvet, burgundy velvet, and polka-dot tuxedo in the next three years was something else.

Ordering Soccer Shoes Online

Having the right soccer equipment is essential to your performance in the sport. Of course, as everyone knows, it can also be an easy way to spend lots of money. For more affordable options, try shopping online.

Online stores have everything from Adidas to Nike soccer shoes and probably some brands you’ve never even heard of. Generally, they can also sell these shoes for a lot less than compared to traditional brick-and-mortar stores. Nonetheless, there are still some steps you can take to make the most out of your purchase.

For one, always buy from reputable dealers. A tell-tale sign of a seller you can’t trust is one that utilizes a payment method you’re not accustomed to. Nowadays, no online business uses cash payments or asks for your specific credit card information through email. Both of these options are favored, however, by scam artists.

Whenever you purchase shoes, you want to be guaranteed the correct fit. However, this is especially true with soccer shoes as you’ll be doing a lot of strenuous exercise in them. Fortunately, there’s an easy way to make sure you get the right fit while still taking advantage of online prices. Simply go to a local retailer, try on the shoes you’re interested in and, when you find the size that fits, order that pair from an online business.

Finding the Right Shoes for Your Foot

By Soccer Garage

If you want to do the best you can when playing soccer, you probably know that practicing for hours on end isn’t going to be enough to do it. You also need the right equipment and that begins with your feet. Whether we’re talking about the Adidas Predator, Adidas Copa Mundial or some other high-end option, just having the best brand across your foot won’t do it either.

That’s because if you don’t buy the type that will best fit your feet, you’ll actually be doing more harm than good. So while companies like Adidas definitely make great shoes, you want to take some extra time considering all your options.

The most important thing is that they fit right. So although it makes sense to save money by ordering online, be sure you also have a chance to try them on somewhere local first. Wear the exact same socks you already would be and give them a run around the pitch as you’d usually do. If you can find a friend who wears them and has the same shoe size, this will help too, as you’ll get to feel out a broken in edition.

When you want to do your best on the pitch, you better bring the right equipment with you—sadly, natural talent and ability just aren’t enough. Fortunately, Soccer Garage is around to offer you high-quality items like the Adidas f50and just about every form of equipment you could ever need.

World Cup stadium projects on track

Article Written by : Online Soccer Champions – All About Soccer

The building of the World Cup stadium has resumed, after FIFA claimed that they have included measures to protect migrant workers.

This statement was released after, Amnesty accused FIFA and the Qatari authorities of mistreating their migrant workers, who were hired to work on the stadium in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup. Amnesty accused FIFA, after interviewing 132 contractors and 102 landscapers, who are working on the project.

The report stated that the abuse of these workers was “a stain on the conscience of world football”.

FIFA’s statement said that, they have been working with a number of parties, including Amnesty international from 2011 to provide fair working conditions on their construction projects.

The statement gave examples of FIFA’s attempt to improve working conditions. These examples included structures that were put in place by the Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy. In which Workers Welfare Standards were implemented in 2014 and reports were publicly available.

The Head of sustainability at FIFA, Federico Addiechi said “We are fully aware of the risks facing construction workers in Qatar and we are confident that the measures taken by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy are the appropriate ones and have already improved the situation for migrant workers working on FIFA World Cup construction sites.

“We closely monitor developments and address issues through our regular contact with the Supreme Committee. We have also met with a number of key stakeholders to discuss the best way forward.

“Of course many challenges remain, but we are on the right track and committed to continue improving, to further contribute to the protection of workers’ rights at the FIFA World Cup stadium projects.”

Qatar did not buy the 2022 World Cup says Blatter

Article written by : Heartland Football : New & Articles about Football (Soccer)
The previous president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter said that Qatar did not buy the chance to host the 2022 World Cup. The Former president has been banned for a period of 8 years for a “disloyal payment” of 1.3 million pounds. This payment was allegedly split between UEFA president Michel Platini.

Blatter said in a Times interview “You cannot buy a World Cup, it will go at the end where the higher political influences are,”

“I am sure there is justice in this world and that I have committed nothing which goes to criminal law. I have killed nobody, I have not robbed a bank, I have not taken any money from anywhere.”

Blatter and Platini have appealed against the football ban and their appeals were heard in late February. The two have said that they have not been in contact with one another after they were arrested by swiss police last year.

Blatter stated “I have never had a contact with Platini since we were picked up after the meeting of the executive committee,”.

“We were picked up by the Swiss police and put in a room and I asked him: ‘Do you know what they want from us?’ He said ‘no’ and they have seen that we are speaking and they have separated us.

“Only later I knew why they wanted to see us. There has been no contact, no telephone, nothing.”

FIFA is looking to elect a new president in late february and have 5 potential candidates lined up.

Bayern eyes top spot in Champions League Group, hosts Olympiakos at Home

Article written by : BEC Sport

Given that Bayern Munich will host Olympiakos shortly, taking the Champions League top spot is definitely what is on Pep Guardiola’s mind.

With two games to go, both sides have the same number of points and are at nine each. What is also clear is that both need one point to qualify for the knockout stages too. Yet most people won’t be surprised if Bayern win by a comfortable margin against the Greek champions.

Since Bayern have won eight Champions League games in a row at home, and which includes a 5-1 drubbing of Arsenal, the Bavarians are definitely betting on a similar result. In fact, they have scored at least four goals at home each over the last six games.

If there’s anything that’s true of Bayern, it is that they always try and finish first of their group since this helps them avoid testing clashing in the knockout stages. The last time they failed to do so was when Bordeaux took the top spot in the 2009-10 season.

As for the away fixture against Olympiakos in September, they managed to win it by 3 goals to nothing, thanks to a Muller brace. This was the only loss that the Greek champions suffered in almost 23 games spanning all competitions.

They come into this game fresh as the clash against Panathinaikos was called off due to crowd violence while Bayern faced the same issues when they met Schalke 04 at Gelsenkirchen.

Yet they are to overcome a dismal record against Bundesliga clubs since they’ve only won one out of six games so far, beating Werder Bremen in 2007-08.
